The short answers.

The broad strokes are here. Anything specific to a journey lives on its own page, and anything still unanswered, just ask.

01

Who are these trips for?

Strong intermediate to advanced riders who are comfortable on five-hour days with sustained climbing. You don’t need to race, but you should be happy spending a week in the hills. If you’re not sure you’re ready, write to us and describe your riding — we’ll give you an honest answer.

02

How hard are the rides, really?

They’re training weeks: real volume, real climbing, and one big day on each trip you’ll want to have prepared for. These are weeks where you’d most likely be putting in bigger volume than you would back home, where family, work and other life responsibilities compete for the hours. You’ll have more time to ride, extra time to recover, and plenty of moments to reflect on the day. Every route is modular: the support vehicle shadows every ride, so any day can become a shorter one, and no one will say a word. Nobody gets left on a mountainside.

03

How big is the group?

Eight to twelve riders depending on the trip, with Justin, the founder, on every one. Small on purpose — it’s the whole point.

04

What’s included?

Six nights at a single hotel, meals as listed on each trip’s page, daily guided rides with a support vehicle on every ride, professional photography throughout the week, a pre-trip route briefing, and group airport transfers. Flights, travel insurance, and bike rental are not included. Each trip page has the exact list.

05

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Bring your own if you’d like — it’s pretty common, and we’ll help with the build on arrival day. If you’d rather travel light, we arrange quality rentals: the exact bike and price are on each trip’s page.

06

Can I come on my own?

Yes — most riders do. Some come as a pair, and leave having ridden the week with new friends. Shared rooms are standard, paired with another rider. If you’d rather have your own, just tell us when you book: a private room adds $100–200 depending on the trip.

07

How do I book?

Send a note through the inquiry page with the journey you have in mind. We read every one and reply with dates, the seats still open, and how to reserve. A 10% deposit holds your place and the balance is due ahead of departure — or you can settle it in one go when you book.

08

What if I have to cancel?

The deposit is non-refundable. Beyond that, refunds work on a sliding scale depending on how far out you cancel — the full policy is here . It’s also exactly why we require travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

09

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — it’s required to ride with us. We ask for a policy that covers trip cancellation, medical care abroad, and cycling. It protects the money you’ve committed and the week itself.

10

What about the photos?

Justin has spent ten years as a professional photographer — the Tour de France Femmes and the Olympics among the subjects — and shoots throughout the week. He’ll also have a photographer colleague on all trips, riding in the van to photograph. The photos are part of the trip, and they’re yours.

11

What happens if the weather turns?

We ride prepared, and the routes flex: we can reorder days, shorten a route, or chase the better sky. Ireland especially makes no promises, and that’s part of the trip. What we don’t do is put the group on a road that isn’t safe.
