Cancellation & Refund Policy
What happens if you cancel, or if we have to — and how refunds work.
We plan each trip around a small group, so cancellations affect everyone. This policy sets out what happens if you need to cancel, and what we do if we have to. It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions.
If you cancel
Let us know as soon as you can. What we can refund depends on how far out you cancel:
The 10% deposit is non-refundable in every case. Beyond that, refunds work on a sliding scale:
- More than 60 days before departure: the deposit is forfeited and the balance is refunded in full.
- 30–60 days before departure: the deposit is forfeited and half of the remaining balance is refunded (about 45% of the trip price).
- Under 30 days before departure: no refund is available.
If we cancel
If we cancel a departure — for reasons on our side, or events beyond anyone’s control that make the trip unsafe to run — you’ll be offered a full refund of the money you’ve paid us, or a transfer to another departure, whichever you prefer.
Travel insurance
This is exactly why we require travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. A good policy protects the money you’ve committed if your plans change for reasons a refund won’t cover — illness, a missed connection, a family emergency.
How to cancel
To cancel, email us at [email protected]. We’ll confirm in writing and process any refund due to your original payment method.
